Paying for verification is extremely stupid and there needs to be a way to stop hate speech, if Elon Musk realizes what’d be good for the app and truly wanted it to be better, he would get rid of it. There hasn’t been anything done to regulate and stop it. Hate speech also increased by a huge amount since Elon Musk has bought twitter. You shouldn’t have to scroll really far down just to see what your friends tweeted. People will pay for verification and use it to promote their scams and spam useless stuff everywhere, and since verified users’ tweets only show up at the top of your timeline and replies, that’s all you’d see.
